I feel the proposed change to the Sinaloa golf course and driving range is a bad idea. This is the only driving range where children can learn at a reasonable charge to the parents and where less skilled players can golf without the pressure of playing on a larger course. Also the cost of the project outweights any payback from the miniature golf courses, this will have a huge financial impact the residents of Simi Valley. It seems like all the Park & Rec. Dept. wants to do is award a huge no bid contract.

This is not the time for Parks and Rec. (which is not in the business of running a theme park) to be spending any money. Look around, our economy has come to a screeching halt, no one is spending anything. Why would this be any different? They have already said that this project will take 20 years to make a profit and the way things are now, it will be much longer! It's financially irresponsible.

forget the miniature golf course just improve the existing golf course. spend some of that money on repairing the existing parks in our city how about building a pool facility in the east end similar to rancho pool that Royal High uses so maybe Simi High can get and aquatics program back.

Poor idea. I've lived in Simi for over 40 years and I'm guessing the park district people don't remember the two mini golf courses that failed in the 1970's?! Not only is the location a poor idea, so is the idea that they will generate enough revenue to offset the cost of building ($19m?!!!!) and operations/maintenance. We do need more to do in Simi Valley, but this is not the answer. The novelty will wear off in a few years. If this were such a great idea, other communities like Thousand Oaks or Moorpark would be thinking about it, or would have done it. Why do you think Golf N Stuff or one of the other mini golf companies haven't tried to open a place in Simi - they probably know they can't make enough money, even with their arcades, bumper cars, etc. More poor city/park district planning :(

good idea, wrong location ...

I think that this new park will bring in a whole lot of revenue to this ghost town. All of you "Home Owners" need to realize that you live in a boring, barren town. We need this park.

This is very bad location for building a G-park like this one. Everyone will lose.

Our city needs to wake up and remember what our community is all about. I see vacant shopping centers and stores everywhere, I see fewer and fewer places our children can go for fun. What do we have to do to take a stand for our kids? Come on, isn't Simi Valley all about a safe place to enjoy our familys? Please city council don't approve this !
