I oppose. Sycamore bmx is one of the most enjoyable places to be and I just couldnt see trading it for a wanna be amusement park.

I am a local business owner and resident in Simi Valley. This project will be detrimental to this community's safety and well being. We can not lose the Sycamore BMX track, it provides excersize and supervision for people of all ages. It is a positive outlet for the community members to get invloved in giving back to the community as well as develop a love for BMX riding. I have met some wonderful people and so has my daughter; we have created life long friendships. This track has been here for around 30 years and it is such a neat commonality my husband and daughter share. My husband raced on this track 20 years ago. I am so dissapointed that an arcade is part of this proposed project. I would have liked to seen something that promoted physical fitness, to improve self esteem as well as discourage loitering, which eventually will lead to crime and distruction!

Please keep Sycamore BMX open! It holds a dear place in my heart, my son's, and many others who grew up enjoying such a family oriented activity. It would be detrimental to this community if we lost such an important and valuable activity for our kids. Not to mention, losing it to fund a project that is unnecessary and would only cause more traffic problems to the west side of the Valley. I, and my family, adamantly OPPOSE this project.

OPPOSED!!! The proposed development is not what we want in this venue. There are other areas more suitable for this type of entertainment..not in a complete residential area. The baseball park and golf course bring sufficient traffic and noise to the area and additional activities would be harmful to the tranquility of the area. I would propose the par 3 Golf Course to become a true 9 hole Executive course and maybe a nice park area..where the Parks & Recreation could rent out areas for art displays, art auctions, oppourtunities for other cultural events and a small green belt for children and familes. In addition, the increased noise, traffic and reduction in home values would be detrimental to all homeowners in the area.

Opposed...it would bring a lot of undesirable traffic into your very nice city. And to do that at the expense of losing one of the best things going for kids in Simi Valley, Sycamore Bmx, which offers a safe, fun. family oriented sports environment would be a waste. Keep Sycamore Bmx open....please

I oppose the Sinaloa Park project for the same reasons listed on this website. Simi Parks and Recreation has the chance to improve the Sinaloa public golf course and driving range (something they've neglected for years), and opted for an amusement park. A well designed nine hole executive course, driving range, club house and restaurant would be in keeping with the area as we know it today, provide revenue to the parks, keep noise down and property values up. I for one, don't want to look out my bedroom window and see a water slide. Would you?

Our family opposes the Sinaloa Park Project! Our quiet residential area is not the venue for this type of recreation. There are many other locations on the perimeter of Simi Valley and away from residential living that can host a park project of this size that does not intrude or interfere with satisfying residential community living. Certainly SAFETY, (after all we are rated by the FBI as one the safest cities) COMMUNITY (our City is proud of it's hometown atmosphere as noted in most literature), PROPERTY VALUES, a PEACEFUL LIFEstyle, (Realtors and City employees 'sell' our clean air, rolling hills, untouched land and beautiful views to potential residents) and over all well-being are valued above all else. The proposed Sinaloa Park Project will drive Sinoloa and Wood Ranch residents out of Simi Valley fast!

Is the city council listening? Our family opposes this proposal for the following reasons: 1. Noise pollution 2. Light pollution (at night) 3. Proximity to wetlands and migrating birds. 4. Reduction of property values 5. Increased crime, vandalism, and tresspassing 6. Increased traffic congestion. 7. Not the right place in the middle of a residential neighborhood 8. Just to name a few reasons.
